NetZero Parental Consent

THAT YOU CAN OPEN A NETZERO ACCOUNT.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: NETZERO BELIEVES THAT IT IS ESPECIALLY
IMPORTANT TO PROTECT CHILDREN'S PRIVACY ONLINE AND ENCOURAGES
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS TO SPEND TIME ONLINE WITH THEIR CHILDREN
AND PARTICIPATE IN THEIR INTERNET ACTIVITY. ACCESS TO THE
INTERNET MAY PERMIT CHILDREN TO RECEIVE CONTENT OR A MESSAGE
FROM ANOTHER PERSON THAT IS OBSCENE, VIOLENT OR UNLAWFUL. IN
ADDITION, INTERNET ACCESS PERMITS CHILDREN TO INTERACT WITH
OTHERS IN WAYS THAT MAY CAUSE HARM TO YOUR CHILD OR DAMAGE TO
OTHERS. OPENING A NETZERO ACCOUNT WILL RESULT IN ADVERTISING
BEING SENT DIRECTLY TO CHILDREN MEMBERS.

For these reasons, NetZero requires that children younger than
age 18 obtain parental consent in order to subscribe to
NetZero's Internet access services and that parents (or guardians)
assume responsibility for the actions of their children while
online. If you would like your child to be able to access the
Internet through NetZero, please read the entire contents of
this agreement and click on the "I Consent" button below.

At any time after your child's account is activated, you may
view the information that NetZero has collected from your
child by logging onto the NetZero service through your child's
account (you will need your child's memberid and password to
do this). You may terminate your child's account at any time 
by submitting a request to NetZero via email to
cancellation@netzero.net, fax it to (818) 879-7257 or U.S. mail
at the following address:

By clicking on the "I Consent" button, I am allowing my child
to open an account for free internet access services and to 
become a member of NetZero. I certify that I am at least 18
years old and am the parent or legal guardian of the child who
is opening this NetZero account. Further, I acknowledge that
the Internet and/or advertising contains content and materials
that are inappropriate for children and I agree that NetZero
will not be responsible for any injury that my child may
experience (while online or offline) due to accessing the
Internet. I assume full responsibility for my child's activities
while accessing the Internet and I agree to indemnify and 
hold NetZero and its directors, officers and employees harmless
against and from all damages, liabilities and claims arising
from such activities.
